Lens on Leadership: No room for self-doubt!
Mar 13, 2024Have you ever doubted what you want or doubted your abilities to pursue something because you didn't feel smart enough, ready enough, experienced enough, worthy enough? Maybe the reason you didn't go after that dream was disguised as something else but in the end it was because you didn't really think you deserved it? Hmm, that hits hard. Every one of us has the right to go after what we want. No one should make you feel like you can't or don't deserve it, least of all yourself.
Recognizing and overcoming these internal barriers is crucial on the path to realizing our dreams. It's about challenging those self-limiting beliefs and replacing them with a mindset of abundance and possibility. Instead of dwelling on what we lack, let's focus on our strengths, our passions, and the unique value we bring to the table. Remember, every great achievement begins with the belief that it's possible.
But pursuing our dreams isn't just about personal fulfillment; it's also about setting an example for others and creating a ripple effect of empowerment. When we dare to chase our own aspirations despite the doubts and fears, we inspire those around us to do the same.
So, as you embark on your journey towards your dreams, remember this: You are worthy. You are capable. And you are deserving of every success that comes your way. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the victories, and never lose sight of the incredible potential that lies within you. Together, let's rewrite the narrative of self-doubt and create a world where everyone feels empowered to pursue their passions unapologetically.
I sometimes look at the world of politics and wonder how it got so nasty. How it got so ugly. How quick folks are to tear each other down, to jump to conclusions, to write someone off. I'll admit, at times it gets me depressed and when that happens, I try to think about what I can do. I don't have to be that way or lead that way. I choose how to show up and I choose to show up with empathy and kindness. I encourage you to show up with empathy and kindness and in doing so we cultivate it in others.
